Friday last was a proud day for eight members of Tuam Rugby club as they were the flag bearers of the official Guinness Six Nations flag for the pre match ceremony of the Six Nations game between Ireland and Wales at the Aviva Stadium.
Owen Lydon, Seamus Gannon, John Ward, Seàn Higgins, Mickey O’Connor, Martin Nally, Pamela Devaney and Darragh Cosgrove held the flag while the National anthems and President salute was played at the packed stadium.
They then got to watch Ireland defeat Wales, 27-17, to keep alive their hopes of a triple crown.
