After an eight year absence, summer tag rugby returned to Tuam RFC in May 2022. The popular non contact sport attracted men and women, boys and girls, of all ages. No previous rugby experience is necessary as tag Rugby although competitive is a fun and social event.

There are 2 blitzes in Tuam RFC each summer. One is a 6 week blitz usually ran in May and ending in June and the other a one day blitz, usually taking place the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Here at Tuam there is a particular emphasis on the social and fun aspect of tag. After each game night there is a designated host pub where everyone from tag gathers for a few drinks and finger food. It's a great way of making new friends and also a great night out!

The Tuam Summer Tag Rugby events always culminates in a prizegiving and afterparty in our sponsored pub, Reapys Bar.
